The Holyspirit-The aboslute need for power!

I am supposed to be sleeping right now but I can't because I feel like this message is more important than sleep. As some of you know (through my status), yesterday I listened to Pastor Adeboye's sermon on Power. Many of you would have heard sermons like this in your Bible study, sunday school, or in the church, but we need to emphasize the need of the Holyspirit-our source of Power. I was reading more after Pastor Adeboye's sermon (even if I had heard it before), and I came across JOHN 20:22 ( ..and when He had said this, HE BREATHED ON THEM and saith to them RECIEVE YE THE HOLYGHOST), I paused, I thought about it for a moment, and for the first time, something interpreted this part to me, I'll let you know in a second. The Holyspirit is the BREATHE OF LIFE FROM GOD. After Adam fell, man needed another breathe to carry on, and that's when GOD gave us the Holy spirit through the same medium-breathe! without the Holy spirit, we are void, we are DEAD (YES, DEAD), we desperately need this power to live, to carry on. without the HolySpirit, there's no way we can walk with GOD, how can you walk without breathe? In the first 2 chapters of ACTS-to be precise ACT 1:8 , it says "But ye shall recieve POWER after the HOLYGHOST is come upon you...let's pause there. Jesus also knows the extent to which we need this power (that's the MAIN reason Jesus told them not to go anywhere until they had recieve the HOLYSPIRIT), the power we are talking about is not a political power or military power, neither is it muscle or physical energy, it's spiritual-supernatural!. OK let's read along..,u>" and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, in Samaria and unto the UTTERMOST PART OF THE EARTH" . the real fact is that without the Holyspirit, we CANNOT witness, without power we are preys for the devil; no wonder when I read on, after He (Peter) got that Power, he witnessed and 3000 people repented, after that another 2000 people gave their life unto christ (ACTS 4:4). Also so many signs and miracles followed! Let me ask you a question, why do youthink Jesus Christ saved you (that's even if you are saved), and now you are a christian? what have you done since you we have become a christian? it's not just to sit around in the church or in your living room and say you are a Christian, NO!!! it's for you to WITNESS, SHARE THE GOSPEL; that's why Jesus said in Mark 28:18-20 "'....Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. ...and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you: "to make sure you understand it, JESUS said it again in Mark 16:15- "And he said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to the whole creation"...that's the MAIN reason out of all numerous reasons you were saved. No wonder I never heard of any Christian in the bible that kept to himself or herself, they reached out and witnessed. this is why we need the HOLY SPIRIT, WITHOUT THE HOLYSPIRIT WE CANNOT WITNESS! Are you part of the group of christians that believe "we can do it without the Holyspirit and power?" I advice you to think again, don't let SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY DECIEVE YOU. in this world we are living in today, WE NEED POWER. That's why the book of Ephesians 6 :12 says-" for WE DO NOT WRESTLE AGAINST FLESH OR BLOOD, but against PRINCIPALITIES AND POWERS, AGAINST THE RULERS OF DARKNESS OF THIS WORLD, AGAINST SPIRITUAL WICKEDNESS IN HIGH PLACES" so tell me if you do not need power now?...again the book of 2 Corinthians 10:4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not those of the world. Instead, they have the power of God to demolish fortresses. We tear down arguments) makes us understand only the POWER FROM GOD-the HolySpirit can destroy fortresses.....sometimes I laugh when I see some movies where they glorify science and technology.....again that's one of the devil's instrument (I do not want to go too deep in that area, I'll talk about it later)..in this age, CHRISTIANS HAVE TRADED THEIR POWER FOR SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (what a pity)...WE NEED POWER.... I believe GOD has sent me to give this message at this right time, and I believe GOD will touch you the reader...... don't be fooled, YOU NEED THE HOLYSPIRIT- THE ABSOLUTE SOURCE OF POWER!!!!!

Hello Everyone.
I just want to share with you how God is extremely proud of us and immediately wanting to do what we believe Him to do when we have FAITH in Him.
No wonder the Bible says "Without faith no man can please God" (Hebrews 11:6). In Matthew Chapter 8 vs 5-11, God is "marvelled" at our faith. Faith is a weapon, it moves the hand of God to do unbelievable things for us. It is pleasing to know that God enters into a great relationship/covenant with those that have outstanding faith in Him, take a look at Abraham (Whom we know as "Father of faith"), Enoch, and so many other great men of GOD.
Some weeks ago, I needed some money to get some things taken care of (it had a deadline) ; I was broke, I believed God for "A miracle". I did something funny, I gave offerings and tithes despite the fact that the money wasn't enough for what I wanted to do, I held on to what the book of MALACHI 3:8-10 said, it was like it was speaking to me.
Some thoughts came to my mind saying "if you want to have more, you gotta reduce your giving"; I ignored that voice and just gave, believing GOD, and walking by Faith. Days later, I got the money I needed, I even got more; this is a personal testimony, and thus this has made me believe beyond any doubt that FAITH PLEASES GOD.
Have you abandoned the word "faith" in your life? has it been blotted out of your life's dictionary? Now is the time to keep your eyes on Jesus for solutions. leave it to Him, trust Him, Have Faith in Him; even if the situation might be too difficult or huge that you don't know what to do,have faith in Him, trust Him and worship Him. GOD is watching you, hoping you'd stand firm in faith with Him. Remove the "canal minded thinking" and look unto CHRIST-the author and Finisher of our Faith(Hebrews 12:2)!
